Cremorne Riverside Centre by Sarah Wigglesworth Architects
by Lewis Paine, Tomas Karandy, Alina Alimzhanova and Laura Pattinson
We were given the site of the Cremorne Riverside Centre for our group blog. The centre offers Canoeing and Kayaking facilities in Chelsea for young people. The brief to the Architects was to provide a facility that would accommodate classes of up to 30 children and young people, including those who are disabled, costing £550,000. It was designed to replace the existing facility, which was two temporary shipping containers. The aim of the new buildings was to improve the facilities and the use of space which would allow better access for disabled children.
